JohnAssociate Director of Laboratory Operations
John received his Ph.D. in Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis from Emory University. He has since conducted research in vaccine development at both the Infectious Disease Research Institute and Corixa Corporation in Seattle. John joined the HIV Vaccine Trials Network in March 2003 as the Laboratory Quality Assurance Program Manager. In this position he oversees the quality assurance for the HVTN immunologic and virologic endpoint monitoring laboratories as well as the U.S. specimen processing laboratories. He is a member of the HVTN Laboratory Operations Division located at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.
