Nina
Lead, Protocol Development Team

Nina is a physician who received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. She subsequently trained in internal medicine at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, and was a research fellow in infectious diseases at the Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Nina came to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in 1999, joining the laboratory of Julie McElrath, where she worked on the development of the interferon-gamma ELISPOT assay for use in HIV vaccine trials. In 2002, Nina moved to the HVTN Core Operations Center as a Senior Clinical Trials Physician where she now leads the Protocol Development and Implementation Team. Nina spends her days desperately trying to keep track of the many HVTN protocols in development and in the field.
