NHP Early Stage Investigator Scholar Award: Funding Pilot Studies to Advance Non-Human Primate Models in Support of HIV Vaccine Clinical ResearchAre you a postdoc, clinical instructor or assistant clinical professor who wants to help advance HIV vaccine clinical research? Early Stage Investigators are encouraged to apply for a novel collaborative research initiative entitled "The Non-Human Primate Early Stage Investigator Scholar Award: Pilot Studies to Advance Non-Human Primate Models in Support of HIV Vaccine Clinical Research." This initiative, funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has two primary objectives:
Participating organizations include the Center for HIV/AIDS Vaccine Immunology, the HIV Vaccine Trials Network, the National Center for Research Resources, the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise, and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Funding will support 3-8 proposals with stipend, facility and administrative costs up to $300,000 for one year. This covers investigator time at 50-100% FTE, research development support, and career development/mentorship activities.
